This year, our Boss Hog release is an audacious offering of pure barrel strength, 100% single grain, straight rye whiskey, comprised of only 24 of our oldest and most unique barrels. It is not for the uninitiated or the faint of heart. This is a whiskey for collectors’ and connoisseurs. Rare indeed is it to find barrel strength releases above 130 proof; rarer yet, indeed nowhere available, is a barrel strength aged rye of the highest rated rye whiskey around.1 Amazingly, The Boss Hog, as connoted in its name, remains savory and palatable even at its awesome full barrel strength. NOSE A balanced creamy vanilla against a fruity sweetness, thickly seasoned with sarsaparilla, tinged with a little musty wood. PALATE An instant rush of honey with touches of cinnamon and cloves offering sultry hits of vanilla and oak.
