Until his passing in 2018, the WhistlePig farm had been home to the founding father of craft whiskey, Master Distiller Dave Pickerell. With his help, Whistle Pig quickly rose to fame as the most awarded rye whiskey maker in the world. They are all about breaking boundaries, and whiskey age is one of them. With the oldest rye whiskey already in their collection, they have set their sights on the American single malt category, which is where WhistlePig The Beholden comes in. The whiskey was distilled from 100% malted barley through copper pot stills from Scotland.

Tasting Notes
The nose is wonderfully rich with raisin, dark cherry, oak, and graham crackers. The palate is deep and rich with oak, dark fruit, maple, and praline, leading to a layered and pleasantly sweet finish with a touch of smoke.
